Design For Industry Terms and Conditions

  1. This competition is being run by Industry Lifestyle Ltd (http://industryandco.com), hereinafter “Promoter”.
  2. There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter this competition.
  3. The competition is open to entrants aged 13 or over and resident in the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland, excluding employees and families of the Promoter and their respective affiliate companies, agencies and anyone professionally connected with the competition. Proof of compliance is the responsibility of the entrant.
  4. Entries must be emailed in the correct file format to design@industryandco.com on or before the closing date of 31st October 2013 and must fulfil the brief as outlined on http://industryandco.com/design-for-industry/
  5. Entrants may submit as many entries as desired.
  6. Up to 10 designs will be shortlisted from those submitted and featured at the launch of the new Drury St store.
  7. From the shortlist, up to 3 designs will be chosen by our judges as winners. The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  8. Winning designs will be printed for a limited edition poster run for sale in the Promoter’s two Dublin stores and/or on their online website.
  9. Each winner will receive 50% of the profit (not sale price) on sales of their winning design up to the end of the year 2013, such proceeds to be paid in January 2014.
  10. We reserve the right not to publish entries that are submitted.
  11. By submitting your design to the competition, you agree to grant Promoter a perpetual, royalty-free, exclusive, sub-licensable right and licence to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute and exercise all copyright and publicity rights with respect to your design worldwide and/or to incorporate your design in other works in any media now known or later developed for the full term of any rights that may exist in your design. By submitting your design to the competition, you:
    1. warrant that your work is your own original work and that you have the right to make it available for all the purposes specified above; that it does not infringe any law; that it is not obscene or libellous; and that it does not violate the right of privacy or publicity of any third party;
    2. agree to indemnify Promoter against all legal fees, damages and other expenses that may be incurred as a result of your breach of the above warranty; and
    3. agree to waive any moral rights in your work for the purposes of its submission to, and publication by, Promoter and the purposes specified above;
  12. We reserve the right to cancel this competition or to alter these rules at any stage, if deemed necessary in its opinion, and if circumstances arise outside of its control.
  13. Proof of sending an entry is not proof of our receipt of your entry.
  14. By submitting a design for this competition, entrants will be deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions and to agree to be bound by them. Anyone who is found to be in breach of these rules faces immediate removal from the competition. No correspondence will be entered into in this regard.
  15. These rules, including the specific rules below, are governed by the laws of Ireland.
  16. This competition is administered by Industry Lifestyle Ltd, of 5 Essex Street West, Temple Bar, Dublin 8.
